Supporting BSA
Payroll giving

Pen and list of monthly figuresThis allows your employer to pay donations straight out of your salary, before tax.

Payroll Giving, also known as Give As Your Earn, is one of the easiest ways to give to the BSA, as it allows your employer to pay donations to us before tax. You can donate as much or as little as you want.

Donations come out of your gross salary before PAYE tax (but after National Insurance). This makes it cheaper as the donation doesn't come from your taxed income. If you give £5 a month and pay 20% tax it costs you just £4 - or £3 if you pay 40% tax.

Your employer does not have to know which charity you are supporting.

You can make a difference now

Speak to your employer about giving from your payroll. If your company does not have a Give As You Earn scheme, than contact the Give As You Earn Helpline on 01732 520 019 or email giveasyouearn@cafonline.org.
