BSA Collection Boxes
BSA collecting boxSmall change can help BSA to make big changes. This small box can be used in shops, at home or at work. Available free from BSA (contact details).
'I know from experience how crucial the work of BSA can be. When I was going through a difficult time personally, BSA helped me to find a specialist therapist who proved a real life-saver.

Over the past years I have been speaking to hundreds, if not thousands of people on the helpline, as well as at gatherings, Open Days and National Conferences who told me what a difference the BSA has made to their lives. Our Information and Support Service changes lives - with your help we can ensure that BSA can continue this vital work.

Donations

Regular donations

Can you help with a small amount paid each month by standing order? Would you know anyone in your family or amongst your friends who would be interested in supporting our cause? Join our BSA Supporters Club - 'Small change for big changes'.

Like all charities, the British Stammering Association is dependent on financial support to enable us to carry out our work. Our Information and Support Service changes lives by showing options and a future where before there might have been none. A small amount, given regularly, will make a real difference to those people who contact us for help. Please consider whether you can support us.

If you pay income or capital gains tax, we can reclaim Gift Aid on your behalf. That way a monthly gift of £3.90 would be worth £5 to BSA, at no extra cost to yourself. Equally a monthly donation of £7.80 would be worth £10, enough to pay for two detailed information packs sent to people who are calling our helpline (with the money reclaimed from tax paying for the postage and packaging).

Click here for a standing order form with optional gift aid declaration. You can amend or cancel the standing order as you wish.

One-off donations

You can make a donation online: donate to BSA online via CAF website.

Alternatively you can either send us a cheque, or telephone us on 020 8983 1003 with your credit card details. If you make a gift aid declaration as well, we will be able to reclaim tax on your gift. You can do this by printing off and completing this gift aid declaration.

Payroll giving

This enables you to give straight to charity direct from your pay, with your donation being taken before tax is deducted. So if you give £5 a month gross and pay 22% tax it costs you just £3.90, or £3 if you pay 40% tax. Ask your employer for more details.

Legacy

A legacy in your will could be very valuable to the British Stammering Association. Your bequest, however small, would continue our work and go to help others in the future. For larger bequests we could perpetuate your name in a project you supported. Our charity registration no. is 1089967. For further information please contact Norbert Lieckfeldt (below) to discuss your potential gift to stammering.

Join the BSA

If you are thinking of making a donation and you are not already a member, you could consider joining the BSA as well. For £15 per annum (£5 concs) you will receive our mailings as well as our Speaking Out magazine. The membership form includes an option to make donations in addition to the £15 if you wish.

For more information on ways of giving, please contact Norbert Lieckfeldt on 020 8983 1003 or email mail@stammering.org.
