Regulations now allow the BSA to reclaim tax on ALL donations made from UK taxable income. This effectively increases the amount of any gift you make by 28% (assuming basic rate tax at 22%), at no extra cost to yourself. The Inland Revenue have ruled that we can treat membership subscriptions in the same way.
All you need to do is tell us you are willing to let us reclaim the tax you have paid by making a gift aid declaration.
You can cancel the declaration at any time by notifying us.
You can complete a gift aid declaration:
if you are joining as a member, by ticking the relevant box on our online membership form;
if you are sending us a donation, by printing off this gift aid form and enclosing it with the donation;
if you are making a standing order, by filling in the gift aid section at the end of the standing order form which you print off.
Please note that for donations to be eligible for gift-aid, you must pay income tax or capital gains tax in the UK at least equal to the tax that will be reclaimed on your donations and subscriptions (28 pence for each £1 you give). You should cancel you declaration if your circumstances change so that you cease to pay this amount of tax.
Please contact our fundraiser if you have any queries, either by email (mail@stammering.org) or by phone on 020 8983 1003.
