In June 2009 we launched www.stammeringineducation.net. This currently houses our online resource for secondary school staff in England, based on the CD-Rom (below). When funding allows we also intend to put our other educational resouces online.

School CD-Roms available for England and Scotland

England

Primary schools CD-ROM
Primary schools CD-ROM for England.
BSA launched three CD-Roms in October 2003, relating to:
-best practice in English primary schools
-best practice in English secondary schools - an updated version of this is online at www.stammeringineducation.net
-preparing for oral work in GCSE English.

All the CDs are available for purchase from BSA at £4.99 each. See more on English CDs and link to shop.

The primary or secondary CD was been sent without charge to all state schools in England. The GCSE oral work CD was sent without charge to all Primary Care Trusts in England for use by speech and language therapists preparing pupils for the GCSE English oral work.

Scotland

Three pupils with Lorraine McIntosh and Cherry Hughes.
Three of the pupils who took part in filming the Scottish CD Roms, together with River City star Lorraine McIntosh and BSA's Education Officer Cherry Hughes.
In January 2006 we launched equivalent CD Roms demonstrating best practice in supporting stammering pupils in Scottish schools. All participants in the filming were invited to the formal launch at an event at the Edinburgh City Chambers on January 18th.

The CDs have since been distributed to all primary, secondary and special schools across Scotland, and to all speech and language therapy departments. We are very grateful to the Scottish Executive for funding this worthwhile project.

The CDs are also available for purchase from BSA at £4.99 each - link to shop.

The three CDs relate to:
-best practice in Scottish primary schools
-best practice in Scottish secondary schools
-preparing for English oral work in S1 - S4.

For more on the Scottish CD-Rom project see the Scottish news page and Filming the CD Roms.
