Fluency Trust Courses 2008

The Fluency Trust provides residential fluency courses in activity centres. It believes that the combination of challenging outdoor activities and intensive therapy are complimentary in developing greater confidence and self-esteem, which are vital factors in dealing with the emotional and physical challenges of stammering.

Blockbusters (9-13 yrs)
Teens challenge (14-17 yrs)

Teens Challenge
(14-17 year olds)

"The activities such as canoeing, high ropes and abseiling helped us relax and get to know each other, and developed our self-confidence.

Three times a day we had sessions where we talked about how our speech affects us and we also practised various strategies to see what suited us best.

This experience helped me a lot and I have become more confident about my speech. It was really good to meet other teenagers like me."

Ruth, 16
