The Helpline
If you can't get through...
please be patient and try later - there is only one person on duty at a time. Evening shifts are usually less busy and you may find getting through easier during those hours.
Alternatively, phone the office number 020 8983 1003 or email us at info@stammering.org, giving your contact details and we will try and call you back. |

"I was most surprised to be greeted by your call operator who stammered. Her stammer was worse than mine but she provided all the information that I required. This shows the positive attitude of your organisation."
|
|
|
"Thank you for being so kind and understanding - your information gave me clear understanding and some hope"
|
|
|
"Thank you for the information pack which was sent to me following a particularly helpful and supportive conversation on your helpline."

The BSA Helpline on 0845 603 2001 (local rate) is a confidential service offering callers the opportunity to ask, talk about and explore any issues of concern about stammering.
The helpline is run by a team of staff and volunteers who fully appreciate how difficult it can be to talk and stammer on the telephone. Opening hours are above.
If you prefer to write, you can
email info@stammering.org, or
write to us at BSA, 15 Old Ford Road, London E2 9PJ,
or telephone in office hours 020 8983 1003.
Speech and language therapists
We can put UK residents in touch with their local NHS speech and language therapists.
Outside the UK?
If you live outside the UK our information is more limited (other than what is on this website already). However, we are happy to help in whatever way we can and, where possible, put you in touch with more local organisations.
