With speech and language therapy services perhaps under threat in the current financial climate Giving Voice is a campaign to demonstrate how these make a difference to people. See www.givingvoiceuk.org for how you can help.
The Giving Voice campaign aims to show the importance of speech and language therapy services. Run by the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT), the campaign was launched on 30th November.
With the financial climate hitting all areas of the economy, Giving Voice will help RCSLT and speech and language therapy services demonstrate SLTs' unique value to national and local decision makers, while showing evidence of their efficiency and value for money.
RCSLT is encouraging people who stammer, parents of children who stammer (or who stammered), and others to come forward with your own stories to help them to explain the essential work speech and language therapists do and their impact on the lives of those they help.
Go to the campaign website at www.givingvoiceuk.org to see ways you can contribute, including putting a 'speech bubble' on the wall, or sending in a short video.
