Help create an iPhone game
Wanted: young people age 13-19 who can travel to Swindon
The idea is to create an iPhone / iPod Touch game about stammering, with young people who stammer. Claire McNeil, a speech and language therapist at Swindon PCT, is working with Mark Carroll of Evil Twin Artworks.
The game will be entirely developed and made by young people who stammer, and will be uploaded onto the global App Store. This is a great opportunity for young people who stammer to learn about the field of multimedia games, and to potentially help many young people learn about stammering and what might help.
The project is going to take place in Swindon and will involve about 10 workshops between February and April 2010. The workshops to create the game will be on Saturdays, evenings and some days in half term. The project group would not need to attend every session to be involved but would need to commit a reasonable amount of time. Project dates (all 10am-3pm) are:
Saturday 27th March
Saturday 3rd April
Saturday 10th April
Saturday 17th April
Saturday 24th April
If you are 16 or over, please contact Claire McNeil if you would like to be involved. If you are under 16, please ask you parent or guardian to contact Claire. Claire.mcneil@swindon-pct.nhs.uk
