Mark was BSA's first runner in this race, and fulfilled a lifelong ambition when he crossed the finishing line in a time of 4 hours 20 minutes.
He was cheered by supporters along the route. His wife Carol had a pole with a BSA T-shirt and a large pair of red lips on the top, making it easy for Mark to spot!
BSA was set up near the 23 mile mark, complete with a 7 ft banner and BSA helium balloons (the first outing for both). Mark thought he might have missed the BSA point (!) but then spotted the banner on the railings. "I was so pleased and so proud to see them all and to be representing the BSA. For me this was truly a memorable moment."
All Mark Limbert can say having run the London Marathon is.. "You'll never forget it...it's amazing...the best experience ever... and... I want to do it again!" We'll be adding Mark's account of the run here soon.
Mark at the BSA supporters' point, at mile 23.
"Watch my lips." Marks' wife Carol on Tower Bridge makes sure she is not easily missed.
