Bob Adams skydive

Update: Bob and friends completed the jump on Saturday 26 May - it was brought forward due to adverse weather forecast for the Sunday. Unfortunately the group were unable to jump from the agreed height of 2 miles - instead they jumped from 3 miles up!!!!! So.....definitely worth sponsoring!
Look out for the full report in the next edition of Speaking Out + get a chance to hear a first hand account of the experience, and see the film, at this year's BSA National conference.

Can you imagine standing at the edge of a door, looking out - looking down.....2 miles....knowing that in a few seconds time you will be falling at 120mph - for a mile?!?!

I can! I've been dreaming about it for several weeks - as have Mattie & Emma!

We are all doing a freefall parachute jump on Sunday 27 May 2007 at Skydive Brid, East Leys Farm, Grindale Rd., Bridlington tel. 01262 677367 www.skydivebrid.co.uk and we would like to invite you to support us. We are raising awareness & money for The British Stammering Association, & donations can be made online below, or by cheque (made payable to The British Stammering Association and sent to Bob @ 19 Lansdown Drive, Retford DN22 7WY).

We would love you to be part of the experience, and you can do this by sponsoring us (see above), attending on the day (we will be ready to jump from 9am but can not guarantee the exact time we will be jumping) &/or by camping overnight on site on Saturday (£5 per tent, no need to book). We will be having a BBQ at 7pm Sat. - bring your own food & BBQ if poss.

The picture top right is one of Bob Adams (Chair Doncaster Stammering Association) & Simon Zipperlin (former Chair Sheffield Speakeasy) tied together in a tandem bungee jump falling from a crane 14 stories high - again raising awareness & funds for the BSA.

Remember "Don't let your fears hold you back!"
