Nights to remember for BSA members in Sweden
By Rachel Albert

At the Stockholm conference, Rachel Albert (right) gave a workshop "Stammering, from my Spiritual Point of View" - in a church!
Six members of the Sunday Socials group attended the Stockholm Stuttering Organisation conference in May 2005, and made contacts for future workshops and conferences. Per Alms has done his PhD on how the brain works in relation to stammering and agreed to come to Hull for the weekend to do a workshop at the BSA Open Day on 17 Sept 2005.

I was asked to present two workshops in Finland next year at the Nordic conference. Sunday socials member, Harry Dhillon, said that he would be happy to organise this trip in the last weekend in August 2006 - so that's a date for your diaries!

From the time we arrived at Stockholm airport, Helena Ekstrom, Tore Wolff, Lars Afeldt, Ake Bystrom, and Marianne and Bertie Osterlind offered us hospitality that was second to none!

"For me the Sweden trip gave me the chance to meet some wonderful people from all over Europe, to enjoy the warm hospitality of the Swedish people - and the best part was that I realised that being in the company of such like-minded, caring people was a very liberating experience," said Harry Dhillon.

A fuller article by Rachel, plus further articles and photographs of the weekend can be found at www.lida-stockholm.net
