Questionnaire on mobile phone usage
Petra Söderling from Helsinki, Finland, is gathering information on usage of mobile phones and mobile services by users who might not be considered top tier consumer groups by the mobile phone industry today.

Petra writes:
"The purpose of this study is twofold: Firstly, to demonstrate that a vast majority of people are potentially not using all phone features for one reason or another. They may be too difficult to use, people are not advised on their use, or they are out-priced. Secondly, by revealing potentially easy-to-use applications that are already available, this study might help people to find more use and delight from their current phone.
"...[Answers from the questionnaire] will be part of a global study on use of mobile phones and services, and users' expectations and needs. The study will be published as a book, and it can be used by mobile phone manufacturers, mobile application developers and service providers in designing devices and developing services for all use groups.
"I am gathering this information as an independent writer, and publishing the findings together with Sari Päivärinta, an independent writer. We do not represent any company or organization.
"I am happy to receive any answers, personal notes, anecdotes, funny stories and other mobile phone related comments via email to soderpet@googlemail.com."
