Volunteers wanted in London or Cambridgeshire area to help with a study of singing and stammering

Alex Boyd, a final year pre-clinical medic at Jesus College, Cambridge, is looking for volunteers to take part in a study into the fluency-enhancing effect of singing on stammering. The study hopes to determine whether chanting on one note can also increase the fluency of stammerers, and why this may or may not be the case.

Subjects would be required to take part in two sessions of testing in either Cambridge or London, each lasting no longer than two hours. A small fee and travelling expenses could be given. Adult stammerers who have some (however limited) experience of singing would be ideal for the research.
