Stuttering And Your Child:
Questions and Answers

This booklet (Speech Foundation of America Publication No.22) which has been edited by Edward G Conture and Jane Fraser will be of value to any parents who have a child that is stammering. Although it is written with American terminology it will be understood by British parents and covers a wide range of topics. There are lists of ideas that parents will find helpful for themselves and also includes advice to baby minders, teachers and others involved with the child's daily life. However as it is written for the American market there are references to school speech therapy services and costs for private care that are not applicable to our National Health Service. It is clearly written and very well presented and will be helpful for both parents and therapists.
