About BSA Scotland

Gareth did it ... and so can you - John McAllion urges support for BSA Scotland
In view of the formation of the Scottish Parliament and following our first project based in Scotland, the BSA decided to establish a Scottish Branch - BSA Scotland.

BSA Scotland operates wholly within the remit of the UK association. However, our new Scottish branch provides a concrete presence for the BSA in Scotland, serves as a focus for Scottish campaigns, events and services, and can engage more effectively with the national agencies in Scotland.

We held a successful Open Meeting in Edinburgh on 4th October 2003 to consult Scottish members and other potential users.

From September 2005, the work of BSA Scotland is managed by the new BSA Scotland Committee.

BSA Scotland welcomes feedback on its proposals and activities.

Funding

We are delighted to have received funding from Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland, the Robertson Trust, the Scottish Executive and a number of Charitable Trusts and Foundations.

In addition, the Scottish Executive awarded full funding for a specific project to develop training CD Roms for Scottish schools, demonstrating best practice in the management of stammering in the classroom, for distribution to all Scottish schools. The CDs were launched on January 2006. More on Schools CD-Roms...
