NHS Service Watch
Has your local speech and language therapy service been reduced? Or are there long waiting lists, or no stammering service at all for an age group? Or has it got better? Let us know.
We have been hearing worrying accounts of cuts to speech and language therapy services for stammering. We need to gather evidence of what is happening round the country so that we can try to do something about it.
If your local service for stammering has reduced (or got better!), or just if you have found there is a long waiting list, or no service for a particular age group (or at all), please let us know.
Please sent your feedback to Norbert Lieckfeldt at nl@stammering.org.
Anonymity
We will not pass on your name, or details about you, to anyone. (We had a form on this page which could be completed anonymously, but have had to remove it for the moment due to excessive spam.)
We may get back to you to clarify any points - unless you say you do not want us to.
What to include
It would be useful if you could include the following in your email (but you do not have to):
Are you a service user (client, or potential client); or a service provider?
What town or area are you giving the feedback on? If you can, let us know which Primary Care Trust or NHS Board. If not, it would be helpful if you could give the first part of your postcode, e.g. G11, ST14.
Please say as much as you can about the problem (or improvement) you have found. Please remember to include the age group, for example pre-school, schoolchild, or adult.
