Would you like to talk to other women who have a stammer?

Christine Simpson
Christine Simpson
At a workshop on issues for women who stammer, held at the 2009 BSA conference, it was decided it would be good to have a group where women could telephone each other, on the model of the BSA's Telephone Link Scheme.

The idea is that we phone each other, either to practise speech therapy techniques, gain confidence on the phone, share experiences or just chat and make new friends in all parts of the UK. You are free to participate as and when you would like to.

The way it is set up is all members are asked to fill in a short questionnaire. I then circulate the details to all members and the only participation required is phoning another member, if you want to. This group is for adults (18 years and over) only.

If you are interested please contact me Christine Simpson simpsoncw@yahoo.co.uk

(Note: this group is not run by BSA.)
