Julia Ammon, BSA trustee

Julia AmmonHi everyone, I'm Julia Ammon. In July 2016 I was delighted to be appointed as a Trustee of the British Stammering Association thanks to my professional experience in fundraising.

I've stammered since I was 5 but only met other people who stammer when I was 13. I remember thinking, finally I wasn't alone anymore!

In 2009, at 25, I found the stammering community again through starting the McGuire Programme and it's safe to say that personally and professionally I've never looked back! From 2010 to 2014, I worked for BSA as the fundraiser, and now work for a larger organisation remaining within the communication disabilities area.

I look forward to continuing to work with everyone to keep talking about stammering, not only together but out there in the world too!
