Ashford Open Day, Kent

British Stammering Association Open Day, Saturday 22nd July. Speakers, workshops, and a chance to meet other people who stammer and parents. Free event.

Willesborough Windmill, Ashford, KentCome along and meet others who stammer, parents of stammering children, speech therapists and teachers in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

What: Stammering Education & Awareness Open Day

When: 10:30am - 4:30pm, Saturday 22 July 2017. Doors open at 10.

Where: Repton Manor Primary School, Repton Avenue, Ashford, Kent TN23 3RX

Who: Open to all.

Programme: Full provisional programme (pdf). Planned workshops and talks include:
- stammering and employment
- brain research
- stammering in school
- university
- therapy approaches
- social model of disability

Transport: By car, the postcode to use is TN23 3RX. By train, the nearest station is Ashford International.

This is a free event. Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided. However we will be collecting donations on the day.

Registering on eventbrite is free. There are limited spaces so early booking is recommended to get your space. However, if we have spaces free on the day you are very welcome to attend whether or not you have registered in advance.

If you’re thinking of making a weekend of it, we understand (as at mid-June) that hotels in Ashford are booking out fast so please reserve your hotel room early to avoid disappointment.
