Silence on Campus: Making a noise about stammering

For students, staff and personnel in higher education, a conference in London organised by the Stammerers Through University Consultancy (STUC).

The Stammerers Through University Consultancy logo "A conference featuring latest research, findings and discussion of stammering, specifically within the higher education domain. Talks covering university applications, socialising, assessment methods, academic and non-academic staff, job interviews and more!"

There are eight 30-minute presentation slots (or six 45-minute slots), as well as a Panel who will face questions from the audience. There will also be exhibitor tables during the networking lunch hour. Full auditorium capacity will be about 250 people.

Tickets are planned to be £20 for exhibitors, £10 for general admission, free for presenters, SOAS staff and SOAS students.

You are invited to submit a paper for the conference, which can be any combination of the below (you may choose more than one):

  • purchase an exhibitor table
  • apply to be on the Panel
  • present to attendees.

If you wish to do so, please complete the application form (in Word) and return to the Stammerers Through University Consultancy (Claire Norman) on clairenorman@stuc-uk.org by Sunday 2 September 2018. You should receive an outcome by email at the end of September 2018.
