Snowdon climb in aid of BSA

| 17.02.2016

A group of student speech and language therapists at Birmingham City University have decided to raise money for the British Stammering Association by climbing Mount Snowdon in Wales.

Birmingham City Uni SLT studentsThe climb is on 19th March 2016, and the target is to raise £1,000.

They say: "As we've never climbed a mountain before, this is going to be quite a undertaking but, to make it that bit more relevant to our cause, we're also going to be doing the climb using only non-verbal communication. This is so that we can get a genuine appreciation of the challenges which face those with speech, language, and communication needs and to raise awareness of the importance of speech and language therapy and the crucial role it plays in helping all those who need it.

Ben, Lorna, Kim, Sara, Hannah, Molly, India, Georgia and Beth have decided to support the British Stammering Association because they are a fantastic charity who provide a wealth of support and information to those who stammer. On top of this, they do fantastic work lobbying for the rights of people who stammer in order to eliminate discrimination (for example, in the workplace)."

You can sponsor them online via justgiving

You can also donate via text by sending 'BCUS47' followed by an amount between £1-5 or £10 to 70070. All texts are free.
